When Is The Reporting Data Available for GotoWebinars?

The tags are applied after the completion of the webinar. We will poll the GotoWebinar servers with the session information from the webinar and “check” if the report data is available. If it is, we download it and apply the tags. If it is not, we wait another half hour and try again. This loop of waiting repeats until we have retrieved the information

It is NOT recommended to have automation that fires right after a webinar that relies upon the tagging to be complete. The truth is, depending upon loads on their servers, we've seen GotoWebinar take as long as four hours after the webinar before making the reporting data available to us. The Best Practice would be to only use those tags for automation the next day so that you can be assured that they'll fire reliably.

Once retrieved, we process the data very quickly. We have a cluster of cloud servers that we use for this in a parallel processing manner so that we can quickly spin through all of the registrants and process all of the many tags, API Goals, notes and other segmentation tasks that are available to you very quickly – typically in just 5 minutes or less.
